(August 19, 2015)   -   With the help of camera traps and observation walks, WCS researchers reported that the wildlife which is part of the species portfolio of Wildlife Project (PVS), inhabits the same territories as other animals. (July 15, 2015)   -   Planting day to contribute to the recovery the Brown Spider monkey’s habitat. Species like the ‘Caracolí’, the ‘guamo’ and the ‘dilodendron’, were included in this planting, whose area covered approximately three hectares. Residents of the community Bocas del Carare, representatives of the municipality of Puerto Parra (Santander) and members of the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS Colombia), participated enthusiastically in the activity.

(July 09, 2015)   -    NGO Yoluka, one of the ten organizations, led the planting of 200 Moriche palms. This happened in the Natural Reserve La Pedregoza and the estate named “El Bolsillo”.  Keep in mind that the Moriche palm is recognized as an excellent water purifier, and an important part of the landscape of the Llanos Orientales Unfortunately, increasing changes in the use of land have led to population declines.
