20 ORINOCO CROCODILES RELEASED INTO EL TUPARRO NATURAL NATIONAL PARK
(February 04, 2016)   -   The emblematic Orinoco Crocodile or Crocodylus intermedius, a critically endangered species, has been given a new opportunity for its conservation. Twenty Orinoco crocodiles (Crocodylus intermedius) were reintroduced into their natural environment on Tuesday at El Tuparro Natural National Park, a site that had already received 21 specimens of this critically endangered species back in May 2015.

(September 28, 2015)   -   Following Crocodylus intermedius specimens who were recently released in the Tuparro National ParkThrough monitoring and tracking, 8 individuals were located in the vicinity of the Tomo River (Vichada); this work has seen great progress due to radio transmitters that were installed in 12 of the 21 reintroduced alligators last May.
