This municipality is divided into two localities, where livestock farming is the main activity.
Through the implementations carried out, the threats to the Andean bear within properties under conservation agreements have been halted, in addition to increasing the positive perception of the presence of the Andean bear in the working localities.
In the population, active restoration actions have been prioritized since 2022. With the current conservation agreements, a community nursery was built where the families protecting the Andean bear are rescuing seeds, planting species to increase livestock production, and recovering soils in the locality.

In the Dagua-Anchicayá region, the Conservamos la Vida Alliance supported the construction of birdwatching platforms that support previously organized ecotourism activities. Corrals were built, and wastewater management systems were adapted.
The communities in the localities remain committed to the conservation of the Andean bear, and have also joined other initiatives such as the protection and reintroduction of frogs and birds. On one of the properties, the description of two new orchid species was achieved.
