We support private and public actors to strengthen their knowledge and capacities with regards to the implementation of mitigation hierarchy and environmental obligations, especially compensations for biodiversity loss.
With this aim, we developed different strategies and tools that facilitate the implementation of good practices in connection with these topics.
- Digital training modules: through videos, notebooks and interactive exercises, interested parties can learn about several environmental obligations, their general characteristics and some technical details of their application. These modules can be consulted on web site www.mercadosambientalescolombia.com
- Face-to-face courses: we have generated two courses, on mitigation hierarchy and compensations for biodiversity loss, designed to introduce or advance the knowledge of public, private and community actors on these topics.
a. Introduction to basic concepts of compensation for biodiversity loss. This course presents the basic concepts that any implementer or applicant of a compensation should know, whether following the Colombian manual or any other international standard.
b. Strategic planning of compensation for biodiversity loss projects. It includes a set of procedures and tools for the inclusion of different actors and the collective construction of the different components of a compensation project. This activity is based on the Open Standards for the Practice of Conservation.
If you are interested in attending these courses, you can contact us through emails firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com for information on same.
