(February 22, 2012) - En el marco del proyecto financiado por la fundación Moore para el “Establecimiento de Marcos efectivos de Monitoreo para los Objetos de Conservación de los PNN de Colombia”, los días 14-16 de febrero de 2012 se realizó el primer taller (de cinco planeados) sobre los conceptos y la ruta metodológica para el diseño de programas efectivos de monitoreo.

Sanderson, quien se retira luego de una década de renovación de los parques de WCS, expansión de los esfuerzos de conservación globales, y una exitosa planificación financiera .

(December 22, 2011) - El mono araña o marimonda del magdalena (Ateles hybridus), primate endémico de Colombia y categorizado como especie en peligro crítico a la extinción; presenta dos poblaciones diferenciadas sobre las márgenes derecha e izquierda del río grande de la Magdalena; estando la población de la margen izquierda en mayor peligro; ya que adicionalmente no se registraba la confirmación de su conservación al interior de algún Parque Nacional.
